I wrote this before. This serve as a reminder for those writing the 2012 UTME or JAMB examination.
As contained in the Jamb Syllabus, The 2 novels again are;
1. The Potter's Wheel - 10 Questions - 15 marks
2. The Successors - 5 Questions - 10 marks
With the examination coming up on 24th March, candidates are expected to completely read up the 2 novels of approximately 500 pages.
You still have 2 weeks to go. Get the books anyhow, buy it, get from a friend and read it up.
As with the usual JAMB style of asking comprehensions, according to Famousemeka Onyema [Thanks], some of the hints you can take not of are;
1. The writer's Intention
2. The title you would have given the passage
3. The writer's mood
4. The writer's point of View
5. What figure of speech it is
6. What is conveyed in the statement
7. How a word is used in the passage
8. Never add your own meanings to any of the passages probably because you know the subject or topic and have read it before
9. Read the questions first
So please study hard and pass your examination with flying colours.
Please share this in your facebook wall because you will help a million people who doesnt know about the change in the JAMB syllabus
lol, jamby syllabus did not say students are to read the books oo, jamb will only extract a passage from it, no need to read it at all
