AIRTEL MANUAL CONFIGURATIONS.

I tried to connect to internet today using the zain internet access point, I couldn't connect because Airtel has fully moved to its new database. I am writing this for those that found it difficult to connect using the old access points.


Airtel, has we know has joined the league of 3G network, and the browsing speed is very fast compare to the other networks. The Edge and GPRS network is also comparatively okay. For those who want to enjoy the benefits of browsing with airtel, you can first of all demand for settings. You can demand for settings through the following methods

1. Call the customer care by dialing 111 in your smart phone or devices asking the customer care service attendant to send the settings directly to your phone or devices.
2. you can send an sms in the format "internet phonebrand model" to 232. For example, "internet Nokia N97" to 232. A message will be sent to you containing the internet settings

Upon receiving the settings, you will be required to save it to your phone. This can be done by simply using the Pin code (0000) or (0). After this is done, you can now browse with your airtel line as long as you like.

There is a case of using a phone not compartible with the settings, you will be required to configured it manually. Follow the below procedures to do that:

1. APN (Access Point Name): internet.ng.airtel.com
2. Username: internet
3. Password: internet

For Wap Settings, use APN as wap.ng.airtel.com

username: wap

password: wap
