TRAFFIC GENERATION|INCREASE THE PRESENCE OF YOUR SITE|MAKE MONEY

Last time, I wrote on how you can earn from your website reviewing it yourself, analyzing it and customizing it. You can click here to read it.

Today, I want to show you how to build a good traffic to your site. A great website will not pay you if you don’t have people going to the site. You need to enhance the way traffic is flowing to and through it. The more you generate your traffic, the more you increase your chance in converting the mere visitor to a paying and loyal customer.

STEPS TO GENERATE YOUR TRAFFIC

1.    ANALYTIC.

This is a simple one. Before you can generate traffic, you need to track your traffic; you need to know where your traffic is coming from and its statistics. I recommend using Google analytic. It is free, easy to set up and more effective to use. You need to have a Google Account to use this features. Go to http://www.google.com/analytics . Sign Up, Add your Site, Insert the Snippet or Code to your site and verify it.

Once you have set up your analytics, you can be able to track anything in your site, track if the traffic is coming from search engines, social media, referrals etc.

If you have not add analytics to your site, Go now and add it because it is the basics of traffic generation. It will help you plan, manage and coordinate your traffic

2.    SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO)

This is the process or series of activities that will enable your site or blog to be seen by the search engine like Yahoo, Google, Bing, etc. This is the most effective way of getting free traffic to your site. Effective SEO does not limit itself to being seen in the search engine but being listed in the first page of the search engine in a particular keyword or keywords.

I want to discuss the three(3) ways you will use to effectively implement Search Engine Optimization. Keywords, Inbound links and Local Search Listing

·         KEYWORDS:

The first thing to do here is to write down the list of all the keywords associated with your site. For instance, if you are writing about Free browsing. Write out keywords like, mtn opera code, etisalat free tweaks, free browsing tweaks etc

Then, go to Google Adword Tools https://www.adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Enter the keyword and search. You will be able to find out how many people search the keyword in a month, and you will also see the level of competition you have in that keyword(s) , thereby enabling you to strategize your plan and choose wisely

Once you have gotten the keyword you need, you can integrate it in the Head of your Post, the sub-head and the Title of your post.

While using the keyword in the post, ensure that you make it readable because google doesn’t like tweaking of keywords.
